A bit about us

The first Tuneless choir was established in 2016 in West Bridgeford. There are now more than 30 active Tuneless Choirs around the UK, with more planned in for the future. Bath Tuneless Choir launched on Tuesday 22nd April 2025 - and we had a blast! Nearly fifty of us turned up and the atmosphere was electric. What lovely feedback received in the days that followed. This promises to be a fabulous choir to be a part of.

Paul's first Tuneless Choir to be set up in Bath is based in Oldfield Park. Following its success and growth we are excited to announce that we are now moving from mono to stereo sound with the launch of a second choir in Larkhall too, as of 4th June 2026!! His newer Bath-based choir is happening in St Saviours Church in Larkhall; a gorgeous 19th Century church with a beautiful hall space that is light and spacious and just right for our brand of joyfully raucous wonky notes. Sessions will meet from 8.00pm until 9.30pm with a short break in the middle for tea and coffee.

OLDFIELD PARK

When: Tuesdays from 7.30pm – 9.00pm
Where: Oldfield Park Baptist Church, Triangle East, Bath, BA2 3JD

LARKHALL

When: Thursdays from 8.00pm – 9.30pm
Where: St Saviour’s Church, Holland Road, Bath, BA1 6QG

At both venues, there’s on street parking and access ramps for those with reduced mobility. We meet every week in and out of school term times, with the exceptions of Easter, Christmas, and those rare weeks Paul’s family goes on holiday – you’ll be given plenty of notice.

There are two payment options:

Pay-as-you-go option. £10 a time (+ £2 registration fee if you're it's your first time) Card and cash accepted on the door.

Sign up for a term, paid in advance via bank transfer. Special rate equivalent to £8 a session (e.g. £48 for a six session term.)

"I cannot sing in tune and don't feel as if I have a musical bone in my body. When I was seven I was told at school not to sing as I was letting the class down. I was always envious of my friends who did sing with a choir and felt I was missing out on something special. I can now amaze them, as 60 years later I am now singing in a choir. I didn't know some of the songs and I don't know what I sounded like, but it didn't seem to matter. I was apprehensive and felt I'd feel self-conscious and therefore unable to sing. You made us very welcome and encouraged us to have a go. I found it liberating and empowering, facing my fear and getting on with it."
